Embark on an unforgettable cycling adventure through the picturesque Piedmont region of Italy, where each pedal stroke reveals stunning landscapes, rich history, and delectable culinary delights. The journey takes you through quaint villages and rural landscapes, where centuries-old traditions are still preserved. From the Marvel at the medieval architecture of Ricetto di Candelo, a fortified village dating back to the Middle Ages to the industrial town of Ivrea, where the most iconic typewriter "Olivetti" was invented. The ride offers extremely panoramic views of the valley and the mountains especially riding on the Zegna panoramic road riding from Oropa Sanctuary on a route crossing the agricultural plain and the forests of the Serra Morenica, to the Alps.

Day 1:    Arrive in Ivrea

Your journey begins in the charming town of Ivrea, nestled in the foothills of the Alps. Explore the quaint streets adorned with medieval architecture and visit the iconic Ivrea Castle. After checking into your cozy accommodations, indulge in a taste of local cuisine at one of the traditional trattorias.

Day 2:    Loop ride via Viverone lake

Start your holiday in Ivrea, where cobbled streets and medieval architecture set the scene for your exploration. As you pedal away from the town center, you'll soon find yourself surrounded by rolling hills adorned with vineyards and orchards, creating a picturesque backdrop for your ride.  As you approach Lake Viverone, the scenery transforms into a tranquil oasis of crystal-clear waters and lush greenery. Take a moment to pause and admire the beauty of the lake, with its shimmering surface reflecting the colors of the sky above. After soaking in the serene ambiance of Lake Viverone, it's time to hop back on your bike and begin the return journey to Ivrea.

Day 3:    Ride from Ivrea to Oropa
36 km

Gear up for a scenic ride as you pedal towards the sacred sanctuary of Oropa. Marvel at the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains as you wind your way through lush valleys and charming villages. Upon reaching Oropa, visit the Sanctuary of Oropa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and take a moment to soak in the tranquil atmosphere.  

Challenge: 36km, ascent 1100m, descent 200m

 

Day 4:    Ride from Oropa to Bielmonte

Today's ride takes you to the picturesque resort town of Bielmonte, famous for its panoramic views and outdoor activities. Cycle through rolling hills adorned with vineyards and orchards, stopping along the way to visit the charming village of Rosazza. Ride the famous “Panoramica Zegna” a scenic panoramic road built by the entrepreneur Ermenegildo Zegna with the idea of making the mountain accessible to everyone. Upon arrival in Bielmonte, treat yourself to a relaxing evening at a mountain retreat, surrounded by nature's beauty.

Challenge: 25km, ascent 865m, descent 640m

 

Day 5:    Ride from Bielmonte to Biella
60 km

On the final leg of your journey, pedal your way to the historic city of Biella, known for its textile industry and cultural heritage. Traverse through scenic countryside dotted with ancient castles and hilltop villages, capturing postcard-perfect moments at every turn. In Biella, wander through the charming streets lined with artisan shops and enjoy a leisurely stroll in the picturesque Piazzo, the heart of the city.

Challenge: 60km, ascent 690m, descent 1490m

 

Day 6:    Biella loop ride via Candelo
50 km

Today’s route takes you through quaint villages and rural landscapes, where centuries-old traditions are still preserved. Marvel at the medieval architecture of Ricetto di Candelo, a fortified village dating back to the Middle Ages. Explore its narrow streets and ancient stone buildings, imagining life in centuries past. Continuing on your journey, you'll venture into Bessa Park, a serene oasis of lush greenery and tranquil ponds. Take a moment to pause and immerse yourself in the natural beauty that surrounds you, listening to the gentle rustle of leaves and the chirping of birds. Feel the thrill of adventure as you navigate through dense forests and open meadows, taking in panoramic views of the stunning landscape.

Challenge: 50km, ascent 550m, descent 550m

Day 7:    Arrivederci Biella!

The trip ends after breakfast, unless you have booked extra nights or other optional services with us.
